Michael Shulman is an expert in external and internal audit, forensic accounting engagements, business valuations, court expert evidence and consulting. Michael’s passion for accounting arose as a teenager when he maintained the books and records for his father’s clothing business. The lessons he learnt at that stage of life, coupled with the satisfaction when genuinely helping people with their finances, have led him to a career in accounting and business advisory.

Michael has over 30 years experience working with the public and private sectors, through a combination of statutory audit assignments, valuation and forensic accounting engagements, mergers, acquisitions and commercialisation advice, strategic and business planning assignments and the provision of general and specific accounting advice.
Michael is frequently appointed as a single expert by the Family Law Court in family law valuation matters given his knowledge and experience in this area. This entails report preparation, and the presentation of expert evidence in court, entities valued including manufacturing, research, software and retail organisations.

Stannards Stadium.
North Port Oval recently renamed Stannards Stadium Announced for $5 Million Redevelopment. Michael plays a vital role on the Port Melbourne Football Club Board as president.

Balance is everything.
Outside of work life, Michael loves to travel, spend time with his pups and family and watching AFL. For Michael, the key is to fit them all in whatever that takes. This includes Michael’s voluntary work for the Leukemia Foundation. Michael transports leukemia patients to hospital for treatment when required. This is a huge part of Michael’s kind hearted nature and dedication for helping others.
